Our week got cleaved in two by the public holiday. But did we panic? Hell no. We just summoned Jack a day earlier.

So, it wasn't exactly earth-shattering. But maybe that's what primed the canvas for what we all agreed was an epic return for 1800 HI I'M JACK.

Picture this: The coffee shop, these days, has seen a complete metamorphosis in its clientele. Boomers fresh from the gym, slick real estate agents from across the road, and the ever-revolving door of Pilates moms. Not your typical connoisseurs of deep minimal techno, especially not at 9 a.m. on a Wednesday. But Jack, never one to shy away from a challenge, dropped the needle on that first record and proceeded to put on a show that had everyone vibing.

Coffee drinkers nodded in rhythm, hair clients tapped their feet in unison. It was a joy to be a part of. Not that Jack's sets aren't always killer. But this one? It had that certain "je ne sais quoi," a touch of magic that hung in the air. Trust me, it was something special.
